Sly Varley is a 7 month old JRT and he and his parents are most impressed with this world wide communication system set up purely for Jack Russels. Despite the fact that Sly is sound asleep infront of the fire and one of his parents is trying to work out how to use the computer let alone the internet! Great page, and at last I found it!

Huntington, WV - USA - Tuesday, July 01, 1997 at 12:38:38 (PDT)Greetings! My name is Peanut, I am a two year old sexy female, smooth white and tan. I love to chase squirels, kill rats and snakes in our sunny backyard in FL. On lazy afternoons I sleep on my favorite persons chair. I enjoy going to JRT trials and fun games at the Gold Coast Terrier Network with my favorite Jr. Handler, Vanessa. I also have a little buddy, Her name is Minnie, she is a 5 mo. old JRT tri color, broken coat. I teach her every thing she knows. Just saw a lizard! gotta go!!

Daytona Beach, FL - USA - Tuesday, July 01, 1997 at 12:56:15 (PDT)Hi! I am always on the look out for cool JR stuff, and one day I was driving down Route 9 (in NY for those of you who don't know) and I saw a "Racing Russells" bumper sticker on a truck. Well, I risked life and limb - driving dangerously close behind this vehicle until I could make out the words "Jasper Publications, Rhinebeck, NY." Now, I don't recommend the same approch for anyone else, but it was great to get the name of a company that specialized in stuff for me and my five year old JR, Minnie Moo.

Melbourne, Vic. - AUSTRALIA - Thursday, July 03, 1997 at 06:52:48 (PDT)We have 7 Jackies and we wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. We just recently rescued a 1 1/2 yr old male from an unfriendly home.
He has obviously spend most of his life being teased by an adult. We need suggestions to help in retraining this little guy. He deserves a chance.
We would also like any information about Jack Russell Rescue organizations and possilby on starting one here in Florida.
Great pages, thanks from Callie, Alex, Charlie, Toffee, Ginger, Cody, and our newest puppy, Pixie Trixie.

Woodside, NY - USA - Friday, July 04, 1997 at 20:03:58 (PDT)We, Teri and I, have two Jack Russels. Jack is 5 years old and Chauncey is probably two. Jack we have had since a puppy he is a perfect companion. Chauncey we acquired from a distressed owner who was unable to deal with his typical behavior. They are both males and very hard to deal with at times. They fight, Kill, and destroy most things avalable. We love them both and only want more. We live in Georgia in a developed golf couse area, and would like to know if it is so common for Jack Russels to kill other animals so frequently as our little Jack does. Currently, several possums, beaver< snakes and rats. He seems so happy after the kill. Is this typical?

Clarksburg, NJ - USA - Saturday, July 12, 1997 at 15:18:33 (PDT)Four years ago we got a JRT by accident. We went to the SPCA and found, what was described by the SPCA, as an 8 week old "Beagle". Well,
we took the cute little pup and brought it to the VETS... who is a friend of mine. The vet kind of smiled and said, "this isn't a Beagle--
it's a JRT" and proceded to tell us all about it... Well now it is 4 years later... I've fenced in an acre of property... and now, he
almost has me completely trained! Most of the time he comes when I call (unless he is doing something more interesting). I can't get mad
with him 'cause he reminds me of me...

Fort Lauderdale, FL - USA - Tuesday, July 15, 1997 at 09:50:45 (PDT)I have a 10 year old "handsome" JRT male named Gopher.
He has sucessfully survived 2 attackes by racoons and in fact
killed the second one. Since these attacks he is very aggressive
towards other fury creatures, especially cats. My Gopher, has
become my most important friend. He is the most loyal pup I have
ever had and he is very attentive to my every move. He snuggles
at night and loves to eat! At 10 he is still a peppy pup but I noticed
that he started to go grey at 5 years old. He is beautifully marked and
loves a challenge. I hope he shares another 10 years with me.
A greateful JRT owner!!!

TERRACE, BC - CANADA - Wednesday, July 16, 1997 at 23:30:42 (PDT)Our JRT, Dogbert is 14 weeks old and we got her at 10 weeks
old. She is really something, at this young age she can sit,
lay down, stay and she is learning speak. She is housebroken
and knows what the word no means but as with most childern,
chooses not to listen all the time. I have seen aggression a
couple of times but they were within her rights, She had a
problem with the meter reader walking into the yard and our
neighbor (30 someting years old) picked her up after she
made it clear she didn't want him to and she bit him. Some
of her favorate things to do are, chasing my feet, chewing
sticks, attacking daddy's head and barking at her image. I
am so happy with her. If all JRT's are anything like her I
can see why they are so popular.

Chicago, IL - USA - Monday, July 21, 1997 at 17:59:31 (PDT)Love these remarkable little dogs? You bet!! I have Wyndhaven Bennie Boy who is a 9 year old JRT, and his son and daughter, Byron and Shelley.
Even though both males are stud dogs, they are very attached to each other and very rarely have any tussles. Shelley is going to be a 75th birthday gift to my father
who wants a companion for his 9 year old female JRT. As with so many people these little guys become a huge part of every member of the family. I am sure that our pack will just continue to grow as the years go by. I would love to get any info that anyone may have available about upcoming JR events on the west coast. There is nothing better than a giant JR gathering with all the people who love and are devoted to this breed. I am 34 years old and I am sure that I will have jacks for the rest of my life. I am currently looking for coastal property where I can set up a perfect JRT gathering place complete with races and go to grounds. When it happens you will all be the first to know! If there are any neighbors close by, I am sure they will be the next to know! Nancy Couper <nlcouper@ucdavis.edu>

She is nearly 5mos now, but everyone who see's her thinks she's younger

she's conformed, I will show her, if she does well we'll breed her. She's
very pretty, with nice markings - all white, with tri-colored mask (she's
starting to get little tiny brown spots on her fur though ... I think
they're cute.) Anyhow, I really LIKE this page, and I wish Jasper and Ale'

Farmington, AR - USA - Wednesday, July 30, 1997 at 12:53:52 (PDT)Our little JR, called Rakker, is our childrens' best friends.
He accepts everything of/from our two daughters-- who dress him, lay him

willing to play with them.
He also is very short of memory, and when he gets the opportunity to
slip out of the house, he is always winding-up with one of our neighbours.
He likes to visit them too on playtime.

Shelburne, N.S. - CANADA - Monday, August 18, 1997 at 14:34:14 (PDT)Hello! Just viewed your web page and think it's great! Our family lives with four Jacks here on the coast. We have a place in the country where the dogs take us for
walks on the old logging trails and romp in the pasture hunting and exploring. These dogs are the most cheerful, enthusiastic and intelligent friends. We like to read books on animal behavior and training and have started some agility training for the fun of it. We had inquired about ordering a calendar through our local bookstore and were told it is no longer available to them. It seems this is the calendar advertised through your web site. We would like to know if the calendar might still be available. Keep

been a swimmer, and it's next to impossible to keep her out of the pool.
Did I mention she climbs trees too? What a dog! She's been a great joy
in our life and can't imagine what it would be like with out her . . .
Jacks are a very special breed!

Ayers Rock, WNT - AUSTRALIA - Friday, August 29, 1997 at 22:10:34 (PDT)Labor day weekend and not enough to do. I was using my computer and came to see what you have been up to. The dogs seem to run our home. Three months ago we had a Beagle-ize, about a year old, dropped off. That gives us: a small JRT (Pebbles), a medium (Beagle-ize - Buffy), and a large (Sheppard - Cinnamon) dogs. The JRT is in charge of the home, and still demands the most attention.
People that do not know how wonderful DOGS are will miss one of the most rewarding experiences of life. I hope that I will always be able to enjoy their company.
I want next years calendar when you have it available. Ron Proksch <rjpcpa@aol.com>
